Q & A
- Worldwide Delivery ? - We used to, but as from the 13th December 2024 because of the new GPSR guidelines, we will no longer be shipping to the EU or Northern Ireland, we are massively disappointed at the changes in regulations, but to avoid the bureaucray and potential fines, this decision is immediate and final without exception. If your order does somehow get through with one of these destination countries, then it will be cancelled.
- Do you Post to the USA ? - We keep getting asked this even though it says it throughout our site, Yes the answer is Yes, the USA is also known as the US, so again Yes we post there aswell.
- Do You Have Any More Product photos or videos Available ? - In a nutshell, No we don't or we'd have already put them on the products or on our socials. We're so busy making all the goodies for you, we barely have time to take our stuff out and photograph them. We welcome our customers to send us photos and to post them on their socials and let us know so we can share them with you. All photos we have of the items we make are either already on the individual product pages or on our Social sites, see link at bottom of page for them. No we're not going to make side by side comparison videos of our bedrolls or ponchos as its time consuming and just not going to happen.
- Do you Sell Fabric ? - No we don't, we're an online store selling the products we make, there's no point just selling the fabric we use to make our products. Would you expect Craghoppers or Barbour to sell fabric, gets embarrassing saying no whe we get asked this.
- Whats the difference between the Hybrid Bedroll and the others? - If you actually take the time to read the product descriptions its pretty self explanatory but basically the Hybrid when folded and fastened like a sleeping bag has a canvas layer which goes on the ground and an oilskin layer which is uppermost, unlike the Oilskin Bedroll which is all Oilskin for its outside layer and the Canvas Bedroll which is all Canvas for its outside layer. The inner layer of the Hybrid has a higher wool content being 75% wool and 25% mixed fibres, no we dont know what the mixed fibres are as we dont make the fabric and no its not Merino wool otherwise we'd have said that, whereas the Oilskin and Canvas Bedrolls have a 55% Wool / 45% Mixed Fiber Blend. Yes you can open up the bedrolls to be a large top layer on a bed or suchlike. The Oilskin fabric may bleed onto other fabrics because the proofing is a wet proof exactly the same as a Barbour coat. The product dimensions are on the product pages for these and if you're taller then just get the PLUS version of them. Don't over think it. No we aren't going to be putting any zips on our bedrolls instead or as well as our poppers and no you cant seperate the liners of the bedrolls.
- What’s the difference between a fully lined poncho and a hybrid poncho ? - Well basically the normal lined oilskin poncho has a 55% wool to 45% mixed fibre inner with an outside oilskin chest pocket whereas the hybrid lined poncho you get a warmer 75% wool / 25% mixed fibre inner that has an internal hand warming pocket as well as the outside oilskin chest pocket. It takes longer to make, is ever so slightly bulkier because of the thicker inner too.
- Prices are in UK £'s (gbp) because we are based in the UK, ( yes there are other countries besides the USA and yes we do post to the USA and yes the US is also refered to as the USA ) - therefore all prices shown are in British Pounds, we are not a bank and do not know the conversation rates from other currencies into GBP, if you use Paypal it will convert the amount for you at checkout or just google your exchange rate. Obviously if the amount is in GBP then it is not the same amount as in USD for example, I know, I now but we keep getting asked this ?!?
- Why is the Internation P&P so high ? - Well firstly we asked if the men and woman who take the parcels and sort them out at the airports, then fly the planes, sort the parcels the other end and deliver the parcels overseas want to do it for free and they said no, so that's why they charge us to send parcels overseas, and because we get charged to send your parcels, then so do you otherwise we'd be making them for nothing and there's no point doing that. We check the weight and size of the items we make when packed against shipping companies postage and charge what they chage, we don't make anything on postage and we don't raise our item prices to "include FREE shipping" like other shops do. We do take the UK postal charges ourselves in order to give free P&P in the UK, but this may change at any moment.
